Smoke Eaters is the sports bar Santa Clara CA residents have come to depend on for the best Bay Area sports action. It is also the sports bar Santa Clara CA residents have come to love because of our amazing lineup of domestic, micro and craft beers – we especially like the crafts. It is no surprise that February is our favorite month of the year. Why? Because, February has the Super Bowl, UFC action, NHL games, NBA action, College Basketball, and of course San Francisco Beer Week!! It is fair to say, SF Beer Week is our favorite week, in our favorite month.
San Fran Beer Week!
This year SF Beer Week kicks off on Friday, February 10, 2017, with an Opening Gala, in San Francisco. From February 11 through February 19, there are craft beer events held across the Bay Area, including of course at Smoke Eaters. To top it off the opening day of SF Beer Week, Smoke Eaters will be showing UFC 208, featuring Holm v. de Randamie. It’s just what you do when you are known as the sports bar Santa Clara CA sports fans turn to for hot wings, craft beer and great sports.
At Smoke Eaters, we kick off SF Beer Week on February 11, with events in all three Smoke Eaters locations. In our Santa Clara location, we will start the week off with an Oskar Blues Kick Off Party. We will be pouring Rum BA Death By Coconut, Java BA Ten Fidy, oSKAr The G’Rauch, Florida Simcoe and Deviant Dale’s. In our Downtown San Jose location, we get the party started with our Nor Cal Brewers Party. Our Downtown customers will be enjoying Altamont’s Scarcity IIIPA (oh so good) and Juice Above the Clouds, Hop Dogma’s Silly Gimmick, Russian River’s Pliny the Elder, Fieldwork’s Hazy Train, Track 7’s Left Eye Right Eye and Nukin Futz, and Bare Bottle’s Pineapple Express and Mint Porter. For our patrons from South San Jose aka Almaden, we have an amazing lineup of SoCal beers, including Pizza Port’s Doheny and Graveyards, Beachwood’s BBQ Citraholic, Modern Times’ Orderville, Fortunate Islands and Black House, Ballast Points’ Coconut Victory at Sea and Peanut Butter Victory at Sea, Coronado’s North Island, and St. Archer’s Double Mosaic IPA. All this great beer wrapped around UFC 208, it’s no wonder we are the sports bar Santa Clara CA fans love to frequent.
Community Focused
This year we will be holding a special charity event on Saturday, February 18, 2017, which we call Hops for Hope. It is an all day event, at our Almaden San Jose location, to raise money for the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. Fifteen percent of sales will be donated to the hospital. The event starts at 11:00 am and continues until we close the doors at 1:00 am or run out of beer – that will never happen. At this amazing event, we will be pouring Russian River’s Pliny the Younger (you read that right) and Pliny the Elder, Knee Deep’s No Stems No Seeds IIIPA, Bare Bottle’s Doom Bloom IIIPA, Altamont’s Scarcity IIIPA and Drake’s Hopocalypse Green Label. If you are anywhere close to San Jose, you need to stop by. This event will be epic!
